Last week Shopbop gathered and hosted a group of creators and press from across the country in Newport Beach ahead of their newest pop-up opening. Previously appearing in Miami, Charlotte, and Nashville, the Newport Beach location was open from Thursday June 4th through Sunday June 7th, and was the fourth of seven pop-ups they have planned to host this calendar year. I had the pleasure of celebrating the pop-up with Shopbop – here’s all of the looks I spotted and events I attended.

After surviving the never-ending flight from JFK to LAX—one that we are all unfortunately familiar with, Shopbop greeted creators with a bag of carefully curated goods at the Pendry Hotel. The Monet Shell Clutch, Jemma Wide Leg Pants, and Simkhai Graphic Tee found inside offered a tempting sneak peek of what the pop-up had in store. From there, I headed over to The Park Club for an intimate welcome dinner, where the room was already filled with effortlessly chic looks I instantly wanted to add to my own closet.
From white lace mini dresses to cheetah print maxi dresses, the dinner had my eyes constantly noting the details. Some of my favorite pieces included the Simon Miller Beja Midi Skirt, ba&ash Tonnie Dress, and the Devon Windsor Leiza Dress.
The first official day began at Malibu Farm for a waterfront lunch with Madewell. Amidst the sea of tastemakers decked out in the exclusive Madewell x Shopbop collection, guests enjoyed the Bandana Bag customization station and frozen bananas from Dad’s Donuts.
For the occasion, I paired my favorite pair of denim with the Thea Tank, Large Rope Pouchette, and a dark suede boat shoe that I happened to get from the Madewell last September. After seeing the new collection styled on everyone, I immediately added the Lina Dress and the Thea Shorts to my shopping cart.
The evening brought us to Lido Marina Village for a full Shopbop x FRAME takeover of Herst Coffee Roasters. The cafe was filled with canapés, photo booth pictures, and guests wearing Le Slim Palazzo Jeans styled in at least 15 different ways. My personal favorite FRAME pieces I spotted were The Short Field Trench Coat, Nipped Collarless Denim Jacket, and the Prim Jacket.
If you are going for that California beachy summer look, match with Sophia Culpo in the Peixoto Charlotte Dress or opt for FRAME’s Silk Organza Skirt to match Helia Golbin’s streetwear style.
Only twice in my life have I woken up early for the sake of a golf course; the first being for a man, the second for our lesson with Malbon at Pelican Hill. Needless to say, I preferred the latter. While everyone else lined the driving range in Cream Cardigans and Olive Mini Skirts, I chose to spend my time wearing this Veronica Polo Pullover and spotting looks to show all of you. Any of which I’d happily wear on the streets, and on the course, should I ever find myself back there again.
Spotted on Hally Seminara, this Cross Court Windbreaker is perfect for a stylish day on the golf course. Or, if you’d rather watch the game with a cocktail in hand, this Pink Wool Knit Polo Pull Over will keep you cozy for a full day of people-watching.
Post golf and a couple of Hugo Spritzs, we made our way to the pop-up for a walk through with Shopbop Senior Fashion Director, Caroline Huang Maguire. The open air space exuded California cool energy, complete with a vintage Volkswagen Van turned frozen yogurt counter. As we perused the cabanas and outdoor racks, I took note of items to add to my summer wish list which I have linked for you at the end!
I did fall victim to one purchase while I was on the grounds, simply because I can’t say no to anything with my initial on it! I’ll be sporting this Roxanne Assoulin statement necklace until the clasp is begging me to stop.
The Montage Laguna Beach served as a stunning backdrop for our final dinner of the week. With all attendees draped in Agua Bendita florals, it was hard to tell where the landscaping stopped and the dresses began.
I’m not usually one for coordinated pieces, but this Salem Cherish Eyelet Crop Top and Nalia Cherish Shorts combo made me feel whimsical and feminine—though I did add a few bold color choices to make the look feel entirely my own. The rest of the guest list was just as beautifully styled for a seaside dinner, sporting everything from this vibrant printed set to this Ivy Embroidered Maxi Dress. Karina Reske and her daughter even had me wishing my mom was there to join in on the fun; they looked adorable twinning in the Agua Bendita x Stoney Clover collaboration, wearing the Spring Mini Dress and Marcia Long Dress.
This Simon Miller number is the perfect statement t-shirt dress to pair with ballet flats during the day and kitten heels at night.
These slides just might break my no open-toed shoe policy.
More stripes! I guess it’s clear what pattern I’m gravitating towards this summer.
I’m obsessed with the sheen finish on these pants and their endless versatility.
These leather sandals actually look comfortable enough for 10k steps in the city.
I’m in love with everything from Shopbop’s LE BOP line, especially these utility bubble shorts.
The Rio Dress from Staud acts as the perfect beach cover up or dress over pants moment for weekend brunch.
One thing I definitely don’t need, but always want: another carryall pouch.
I love the beading and tie embellishments on this reversible bikini.
