The Summer House best friends have wildly different approaches to fashion—and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Levi Sebree and Bailey Taylor might be partners in crime, but you won't catch them sharing a style uniform. Bailey gravitates toward romantic silhouettes, tailored pieces, and an effortless kind of chic. Levi, on the other hand, is all about unexpected combinations, bold colors, and the occasional outfit that makes people do a double take. And that's exactly how they like it.
The Summer House stars and fashion-loving creatives have built a friendship around their shared passion for style, even when their interpretations couldn't be more different. They know each other's closets well enough to spot a "Bailey top" or a "Levi look" from across the room, but neither is interested in turning the other into a carbon copy. Instead, they push each other to take risks, appreciate fashion as an art form, and wear what makes them feel most like themselves.
We caught up with the duo in New York to talk about their personal style, the trends they're ready to retire, dressing for the Hamptons, and why having a best friend who dresses nothing like you might be the best fashion inspiration of all.
Amanda: Can you walk me through your look today?
Levi: I'm wearing an oversized sci-fi T-shirt (one of my faves) paired with an IRO fringe skirt and studded belt—fringe is so back! The sunglasses I found from a street vendor in Saint-Tropez cost 10 euros, and the fabulous green pointed-toe heels are from a Tory Burch sample sale. Lately, I've really been into unexpected color combinations and leaning into texture. I find that adding texture, like the skirt, always makes a look feel more dynamic and FASHION!
Bailey: I am wearing Reformation and IRO. I am really in a phase where I want to be chic and comfortable. My green Gucci bag is my best friend. She goes with everything. If I am in SoHo, I am either shopping or working (or both), so I am always wearing something that can lend itself to both.
Amanda: You two are BFFs, but your personal styles are pretty different. How would you describe each other's style?
Levi: I actually love that we have different styles! It's so easy to say, "OMG, that's so Bailey," or "That is such a Levi top," and that's really fun. One thing we do have in common is our absolute love for fashion—it's our industry and passion, and we speak the same language.
BT's style in two words: chic and romantic. She loves delicate lace, tailored coats, and corset silhouettes. It gives model off-duty with a little romance, vintage vibes, and sometimes (very sometimes) grunge. She's from Seattle, after all!
Bailey: We have extremely different styles, and I love it. Levi is brave in ways I could never be. She gets fashion, and she just goes there. I would describe Levi as an alien that escaped from its spaceship so it could go to Burning Man, so it robbed the first clubwear store it could find. Iconic.
Fashion moves in the street before it moves online, and we're there to document it. Our team has boots on the ground in the coolest places around the world, tracking what people are actually wearing. Real people, real outfits. That's what makes OOTD.com the go-to source for outfit inspiration.
Amanda: Do you ever influence each other's style—or convince each other to wear something you normally wouldn't?
Levi: Bailey always encourages me to take my style to the next level. "Yes girl, you better wear that insane pink tutu to Art Basel," and you know what? I'm glad I did.
She also inspires me to invest in designer pieces—the girl loves her some designer, and through our friendship my quantity of clothes has definitely elevated. BT's love for fashion isn't just her love for pretty things; she truly understands and appreciates it as an art form. It's one of the MANY things that bonds us. Every time we go to an event or out, Bailey looks like a walking doll. She always gets it right!
Bailey: Levi absolutely influences my style. Like I said, she is braver than I could ever be, but she pushes me to want to try more. Everything she puts together always makes so much sense; I just wasn't creative enough to think of it. She is the true definition of a fashion girl. Anyone who doesn't get it just doesn't have the knowledge or the references to get it.
Amanda: Does the way you dress on Summer House feel true to your everyday style, or is there a different mindset when you're dressing for the show?
Levi: When I was on Summer House, honestly, what I was wearing was the last thing on my mind. It's a shame because I am a fashion girl! Some people HATED my style, and honestly, I love that for me. It's a compliment in my mind! I think someone called me the random girl with the statement earrings, and that cracks me up to this day.
Bailey: We are living our real lives, so those are our real clothes!
Amanda: Let's talk trends: What's one fashion trend you're loving right now, and one you're ready to leave behind?
Levi: I love that platform pumps are back—I think that's what we're calling them. I'm going crazy shopping on The RealReal, snagging all the cute ones before people catch on. I'm also really into the comeback of low-rise skinny jeans, another thing that people haven't caught on to yet. I went shopping today and couldn't find a single pair in any store.
Other things that I love that are back are neon, chokers, combat boots, and a style that's, dare I say, a little trashy. I wanna see a hot pink cheetah-print push-up bra peeking out of a barely-there white tank top.
Personally, I'm ready to leave the coquette aesthetic, office siren (whatever that even means), and "mob wife" uniform behind. Cute, but not for me!
Bailey: I love flannels and oversized button-ups for fall. I love a tailored jacket and a jean. I love a flat. I never abandoned ballet flats. They were not cool for 15 years...lest we forget...but I was always wearing a flat. I will not be tricked into ruining my feet to be trendy.
I am so ready to leave behind quiet luxury. I love being chic, but we reached chic, hit the gas pedal, and flew straight to boring town. Fashion has been FLAT for the last two years. I see why maximalism is taking over. We gave nothing, so naturally now everyone wants everything at once.
Amanda: What's your foolproof outfit formula for a weekend in the Hamptons?
Levi: Honestly, I'm kinda sick of everyone cosplaying as old money, quiet luxury, coastal grandma, whatever. I'm sorry! I usually just roll up in some clothes I would wear in the city with some wedges or something. I'll bring some hoodies to lounge in, but to be honest, I don't overthink it at all.
Bailey: I think people fail to account that the Hamptons is entirely its own ecosystem. I would NEVER dress how I do in the city or for a fashion week the way I do in the Hamptons. The Hamptons is family/old money/Ralph Lauren energy. I would not wear a white sweater and loose white pants in Manhattan—think Nancy Meyers. The style out there isn't style; it is comfort, it is reservation.
Amanda: And finally, what's next for each of you—fashion or otherwise?
Levi: By day I'm event planning, and by night my current passion project is a photobook, capturing women of New York City. I'm constantly starting micro-projects, but I want this one to be a deliberate investment. To keep things interesting, I've also started taking acting classes for fun. I'm manifesting a future Editor in Residence, but for now I'll continue writing unhinged Substacks.
Bailey: I am starting a merch line that is coming out soon with my podcast that will include a major charitable element for women. I am extremely excited, and I am not only able to flex my creative muscles, my fashion muscles, etc., but I am learning so much and having a blast. I always intended on starting something in tandem with It Girl that gives back to women, and I want to expand that initiative into everything It Girl does.
Bailey Taylor and Levi Sebree don't agree on every fashion choice, and that's what makes their friendship so refreshing. One sees the Hamptons as a Nancy Meyers movie; the other would rather show up in whatever she wore in the city. One reaches for romantic tailoring; the other might reach for a pink tutu. But underneath their very different wardrobes is the same belief: fashion should be personal, expressive, and fun. And sometimes, the best thing a friend can do for your style isn't to dress like you. It's to encourage you to be even more yourself.
