Oversized bag lovers, this one's for you.

Somewhere between the 8 a.m. matcha run and the 8 p.m. dinner reservation, every New York girl's bag turns into her entire life. Laptop, flats, a backup top, three lip glosses: it all has to go somewhere. So it's no surprise that the big bag is officially back, and one in particular keeps showing up on the chicest shoulders all around New York.
Meet the Shuldo, Polène's newest hobo, named for exactly how it's meant to be worn: over the shoulder. Each one is built from 33 individual leather panels, and it's handcrafted in Spain with a soft suede lining. We asked 10 NYC creatives to take it for a spin and tell us how they styled it. The verdict? It fits everything. Ahead, see how they're wearing fall's most practical (and prettiest) It-bag.
Fashion moves in the street before it moves online, and we're there to document it. Our team has boots on the ground in the coolest places around the world, tracking what people are actually wearing. Real people, real outfits. That's what makes OOTD.com the go-to source for outfit inspiration.
Every timeless bag deserves a timeless muse, and for Emily, there was only one option. "Who else to go to for inspo other than Mrs. Carolyn Bessette herself?" she says. Her take on '90s minimalism is a black ASOS mock neck, slouchy camel trousers, and pointed Steve Madden heels, finished with the Shuldo in grainy brown. CBK would absolutely approve.
Chloe, a New York based model, shops the smart way. She spots looks she loves on shoots and campaigns (same!), then hunts down her own versions secondhand. Almost everything here is thrifted, from the chocolate leather coat to the white slip dress underneath ("amazing quality, 100% Italian silk"). Studded Kenneth Cole flats add a little edge, and the black Shuldo bag brings what she loves most about it: "the drama of it all." She says she keeps getting endless compliments, and we can see why.
As a stylist, Giulia dresses for fashion week like she's there to work, not just watch. She pulls inspiration from her huge collection of magazines, both new and vintage from all over the world. Her version of office wear is a vintage Burberry trench, pinstripe trousers thrifted in Paris, a Cala Nolita top, a Patricia Viera belt, and kitten-heel thong sandals, with the grainy linden Shuldo as the softer counterpoint. Don't expect her to dress down anytime soon, either: "You'll catch me in a little bar wearing a sparkly Rabanne skirt and kitten heels on a Wednesday."
If you need proof that this bag can hold your whole life, ask Amy. She took it as her only bag on an entire work trip and fit "my slides tucked in the side, all my skincare, pajamas, and outfit changes." For the shoot, she belted a Mackage trench as a dress and added Manolo Blahnik knee-high boots and Burberry sunglasses, which all work with the dessert Shuldo bag perfectly. Model off-duty, perfected.
Kayla is, in her words, "a bigger bag lover," and the Shuldo passes her test. "If it's too tight around my shoulders, I'm not a fan," she says. "It's also a Mary Poppins bag." She pairs the brown version with a vintage black Christian Dior blazer, a sheer vintage nightgown tied at the side, thrifted knee-high boots, her everyday hoops, and, of course, wired headphones. Lingerie as daywear? We're fully on board.
Sophia describes her style as a mix of preppy and sexy, with inspiration from stylish Upper East Side women, plus her own touches, like Moroccan jewelry. Here, a cream Dissh jacket, a pleated Lacoste skirt, and white Zara flats make the perfect neutral backdrop for the linden Shuldo. "I'm obsessed with the color," she says. "All beige and that green bag!!"
Emily's style leans elevated and classic, with plenty of vintage and menswear mixed in, and she loves balancing feminine pieces with something more relaxed. Here, that's a Reformation slip dress (which she sometimes wears as a skirt) and a classic Loewe tank under an oversized cropped trench from The Frankie Shop, finished with strappy black sandals. The dessert Shuldo adds just enough structure. "When you're running all over the city, it's nice to have a bag you can throw anything into," she says.
Emily's secret weapon? Her mom's closet. "I've always admired my mom's minimalist style, so a lot of my favorite pieces are actually borrowed right out of her closet," she says. Her look is simple and very chic: a thrifted cream blouse, dark Revice jeans, black loafers, and the linden Shuldo front and center. Her favorite part is how much it holds "without looking bulky at all."
Ashley calls her style "classic, quiet luxury with a feminine touch," and this outfit is exactly that. She chose a white Stitches and Stripes cardigan so the black Shuldo "would really pop," then kept it polished with black Anna Quan trousers and Oak and Fort shoes. "I love Polène because the quality is exceptional," she says. As a model, she's always picking up tips from stylists on set, and she even counts OOTD as one of her go-to inspo pages. We're blushing.
We saved the brightest for last. Brooke goes head-to-toe white, with a jacket and boots from a vintage store in Brooklyn and Zara trousers, all chosen "to accentuate the bag color." It works: the dessert Shuldo practically glows against it. She pulls inspiration from Scandinavian fall and winter dressing and other models style, and she loves a big bag because she's always on the go.
An oversized bag is a necessity when living in a big city. Whether you're packing for a work trip, running between castings, or just bopping around the city, the Shuldo has room for all of it. And it looks good doing it.
